Following the retirement of Bryan ‘Griff’ Griffiths from his post in charge of the service department at Greenhous DAF in Shrewsbury, a new man has taken up the reins. Martin Hill from Wolverhampton is the new Service Manager at the Marche Way dealership, where DAF trucks sales and servicing, parts and MOT work are handled.

Martin had been with Greenhous, based in Willenhall, since 1996 and so has many years of experience under his belt.  After school he served a 3 year mechanics apprenticeship at another company before moving into the service reception.  After a spell working for a body shop, he joined Greenhous as a service receptionist, eventually being promoted to the role of service supervisor before now making the move into management at Greenhous DAF in Shrewsbury.

Martin is delighted to have made the step up and says he enjoys coming into work in a very busy environment where his team work well collectively to make a difference. He has a team of 14 technicians, 5 in the administration department and 3 apprentices. Martin regards the apprentice route as essential to the future of the business.

In his spare time Martin is keen on fitness attending the gym regularly, enjoying cycling and, having completed 10 km and 15 km Mud Runs, he is now setting his sights on completing the 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours in June with some friends He certainly must have stamina!
